Romantic Transportation For Weddings

There is nothing quite as romantic as your wedding day.  When it comes to getting to the church and reception, you can choose from a number of different transportation options.  These range from a car hire of a Rolls Royce to a horse and carriage.  Many brides today are opting for the horse and carriage transport.  This is an ideal way to get to your wedding and very romantic, but before you choose this transportation option,  take the following into account: 

What will the weather be like?

You never know about the weather, especially when you are talking about the United Kingdom.  There is nothing quite as charming as a horse and carriage, true, unless it is raining, you and the groom are soaked to the skin and the horses are knee deep in mud.  When considering a horse and carriage, discuss alternate options with the transportation vendor so that you can have a car in case of rain. 

What is the distance?

The horse and carriage transport only works when there is a short distance between the ceremony and the dinner reception.  If you have a few miles to go, this will be an impractical option.  Consider other options when it comes to transportation for your country wedding that are traditional but more practical if you have a distance to travel. 

Other options

Old model cars are ideal for transport for a country wedding, although distance is also a factor with these vehicles.  A Rolls Royce is the most traditional of all transportation and should be on back up in case of rain or other inclement weather.  You can choose from a black or white Rolls Royce that will get you wherever you want to go in style.  Some couples choose one vehicle to get the bride to the church and another to get to the reception if they are having a church wedding. 

You can also use the horse and carriage to take you from your home to the church if you are having a church wedding.  If you have your heart set on a horse and carriage ride and the weather cooperates, you can opt for a ride to the church from home instead of to the reception, depending on which is closer. 

The ideal wedding is steeped in traditional romance.  You can make your wedding even more romantic if you choose transportation such as a horse and carriage from a vendor who provides this service.  But be cautioned that this will only work if the weather cooperates and you have a short distance to travel.
